candy.
if i make it out of 2nd term UBC retardation alive;
YOU WILL HAVE MY FIRSTBORN WALLPAPER, AND IT WILL BE GLORIOUS PAINTERY
GOODNESS.
And yes, it would be Etiquette In Violence. the thing that's stopping me is that
it's about $50CDN (comparable with some of Amano's artbooks at $20-30). I livei
n vancouver and there's this anime store called Sakura Media that sells it,
among other artbooks (some of which seem to be rather rare, they're selling
Amano's Hiten o_o)
watch Babel if you can .
In terms of camera work and musically, it's so-so, but it takes the Fountain's
tri-focused plot and does very interesting things with it. Personally, it
wrenched my heart out, threw it on the floor, threatened to step on it only to
give me faint relief, then it dashed it to bits with a Rifle. i loved it , and
you're as masochistic as i am, so :3
it's been running for a while though, so you might have to look hard. it's 18a
too, but i didn't get hassled about my age and neither did my friend (who could
pass off for a 14yo if she tried) when we went so..
it is Faye actually :O It's from the cover of the "No Disc"
soundtrack. Her hair is a little more visible (at certain angles) in the
original scan as linked from my desc - i'm pretty sure it's faye
all the shiningdays walls you love have been eaten by lack of time, inspiration
and general tiredness from going to university. hopefully i'll pump something
out within the next week or so
Quote by candy-chanthinking about it,
the athmosphere reminds me of mononoke hime's sacred forest :3 glowing stuff
flying around, dark greens...
funny you should say that when i
was making the green stuff coming out from under his feet, even though it was in
the original scan i kept saying to myself "omfg, he's turning into the
deer-freakyface thing from Mononoke Hime DD"
Quote by Zefiethis is really interesting
wallpaper of d. gray-man ! composition is quite simple but there is much details
and shapes on the vector which makes you look it quite carefully. the way how
you made the shades and darker parts of the pic with blue colouring is nice
effect, but from some parts it little hard to see which lines belongs to belong
to allen and which to the clown. but overall the vectoring is really neat and
clean looking ^_^ colouring is bright and yellow gives happy atmosphere. other
tones on the background fit with the light yellow nicely. i think you should
have done something for the left side of the wall too so it would look more
balanced. though the concept is more easy to look at when it isn't crowded from
details. overallnice work and thank you for sharing
!
thanks for the comment it's
nice to see someone who actually thinks about what they're going to say instead
of just the normal "omg pretty i like colours +favs lol!" type
comment. As to the "which lines belong to Allen/the clown" comment, it
was like that in the original manga scan D: i think the point the artist
(Hoshino Katsura) was trying to get across was that they are one and the same..
or something like that, anywho. so
anyways! thanks for the comment again~
Quote by SharinganKnightI like
it. the vector could use some tweaks, but I like the crisp, colorful and clean
approach you took towards it. I get the feeling however, that this wall would be
most suited to be wide screen, seeing as the top is so empty that it sort of
throws the thing a bit out of proportion. Im not a very big fan of those fowers
you used, but its a good Eureka Seven wallpaper, I can't not fave
it.
i'm done struggling with this wallpaper. it hates me and i hate it :<
(actually that's not true, i liked it at one point.) i shove icons into the top
to alieviate the emptiness, but it may in fact be better suited towards a
widescreen version. the flowers aren't exactly my favorite either, but i didn't
want the background to be just a gradient and i didn't want it too textured.
(i've reached a stage of defeat with this wallpaper. -o-)
Quote by AnalynHey shiningdays. I LOVE
your Neon Genesis 'The Great Destroyer' wallpaper. I was wondering if you would
mind if I used it to create a web page layout for my site. I wouldn't
redistribute the layout and I would credit you for it. Please respond!
Thanks
i would mind, actually, so i'm going to have to say no. i'm glad you like the
wallpaper, but aside from the original image, that's already a creation of mine
and no one else's. thank you for taking the time to ask, though. you can find
the original image at the Anime Project Alliance's Evalgelion gallery though, if
you're interested.
Quote by eunasahngExtremely original
and creative. Lovely use of stock, colours and textures. It's a fabulous
wallpaper which deserves A LOT. *highlighted*
Thanks i was somewhat upset that this wall didn't get alot of comments
before it was highlighted since i actually like it lots~
Quote by PAcheit a really unique
wallpaper...i never even thought of having a stitching in such a situation! and i
must say, that scan you picked was excellent, very "old england", fits
a stictching on a hanky very well.
but what i don't like is that...there is little contrast in general.and so when
everything blends in, my eye gets confused where to go and the stitching, which
personally i think should be given the most attention, loses to the rose
petals(or whatever flower petals those are).also, the petals are not really
randomly distributed, so it seems like someone purposely dropped them just
around the stitching, and that makes the whole picture less natural and takes
away some of the charm.the stitching also somehow doesnt flow with the folds of
the cloth.plus, the stitch and cloth seems apart...maybe because of what i
meantioned earlier, the folding and all, but probably also because of other
reasons
but hey, to do what you did?its really original and intrigueing.actually,
because the colours were so close, i didnt notice the stitching in the thumbnail
and don't worry about my criticism. if you get irritated by it, console yourself
with the knowledge that i cannot produce
such intricate pieces like this i'll lose patience, or i don't even have the skill to do it.yet.
<3
On the contrary, i'm quite happy to hear your criticisms ^^;
I realized pretty early on in the wallpaper that the thumbnail wasn't going to
garner it much attention (which kind of upset me, as i really like this
wallpaper.) The rose petals were placed a little more randomly at first, but i
like to have room for icons in my wallpapers, so i cleared out the middle :P.
there was also way, waaay to many of them in the original souce stock.
Mmmm. i agree with the focus being taken away from the stitching, actually. But
i also didn't want the stitching to "pop" too much, my main concern
was having it a nice, complementary colour to the fabric. And yeah @ the
folding. i couldn't find a better stock, and, frankly, as i made this in the
middle of my exams, i wasn't going to deal with drawing the grain of the cloth
in slightly to give it the puckered effect that sitching has on fabric.
thanks for your comments. they were very informative.

exceptions.. ;p
they're so cliche these days it's not even funny anymore... *o* heehee <33
btw, i adore your id <3333
uwah~ such compliments (considering your walls are so good~ i really like this one :3)

yeah, but it's not particularly well done; i hate university so i'm kind of lazy about it.
things i have to do by the end of the month:
